About Us

At Blind Dogs, I love dogs more than anything else in this world. They are so precious, pure, and gentle - how could you not love dogs?

Hi, my name is Megan Turner and I have worked in a dog’s shelter for four years now. It is truly my dream job, and I see hundreds of dogs every month being united with new owners to give them a loving forever home.

Unfortunately, handicapped dogs are much more likely to be ignored when a family is picking out their new pet. Handicapped pets need more care than non-handicapped pets, so it is understandable why they are often harder to rehome.

However, I want to break the stigma around handicapped dogs so that you can feel more at ease with bringing one into your home.

If you are thinking about taking care of a handicapped dog, or already are, then I think that you are a hero. And, I want to help you feel more confident with your new role as a dog carer.

Here at Blind Dogs, I want to bring awareness to handicapped dogs - but I also won’t be missing non-handicapped dogs out either! I want to teach anyone who is willing to listen all there is to know about the amazing animal that is the dog.

So, if you’re interested in knowing more, take a look around my website. Who knows, maybe you’ll even be inspired to rehome a handicapped dog yourself!
